The Auxiliary has implemented a short-term victims assistance program that is put into service when needed, prior to the arrival of the Red Cross.  Because we are fortunate that this is rarely needed in our community, we have opted to conduct only annual trainings on this.   

Our goal with our victims assistance program is to provide short-term protection for victims.  Our priority is to involve the Red Cross as soon as possible. 

Two of our members are certified in Red Cross Disaster Relief and have the ability to provide displaced fire victims with food, clothing and shelter, on behalf of the Red Cross in the event their local office is unable to respond.
