He was angry that we had not called him and informed him of our

passes for those who still need them.
- Chief Wilson previously
requested that the bereavement leave policy be expanded from one day to
two days. Everyone in favor of
this. Chief Cassin reported that
this will be added to the next FPDB meeting agenda.
- Chief
Thacker distributed copies of the Appearance and Grooming policy, which
will be the first policy to be reviewed and amended by Senior Staff. He asked everyone to review this policy
and be prepared for discussion at the next senior staff. Chief Slauter suggested changing “compensated”
and “reserve” terminology in the Ancillary Programs policy.
- Lt.
Hart could not be here this morning so discussion on EMS issues are postponed until next senior
staff.
- Chief
Wilson proposed allowing a minimum of 2hrs to be paid for call backs for
full time personnel. Everyone in
favor. Chief Cassin will change the
policy appropriately.

for.

- This
does not affect the budget.
- Chief
Thacker stated that there is an online EAP available for smoking
cessation, nutrition and weight loss.
- Chief
Wilson announced that Brad Jewell wants to move to B shift nights, which would leave two “book sign up spots” on A shift
nights. After discussion, Chief
Cassin suggested that this be tabled until the 4/21 senior staff meeting
after more thought can be given to it.
- Chief
Slauter stated that he is still working with Jim Sipes and Tug Sutton on
the Haz Mat Decon trailer.
- Chief
Slauter stated that Perry Township FD #664 is now in service. The aerial is located there.
- Chief
Slauter stated that Bargersville FD does not want our Ladder on automatic
aid with them. They will call us if
they need us.
- Chief
Slauter suggested developing a list that shows what courses/events we will
“detail” personnel to and what they must take education leave to
attend. Everyone agreed that this
was badly needed. Chief Cassin will
work with Chief Thacker on this and return a proposal at the next senior
staff meeting.
- No
further business and meeting adjourned at 0915.
