- Thermal
imaging cameras will be placed on the truck companies. Chief Tibbetts stated that crews should
be looking over Greenwood’s camera when they go there for dinner.
- Chief Slauter
will get Madison Township Fire Department’s radio and related equipment
back from them and issue it to Lieutenant Hart.
- Chief
Tibbetts reiterated that on duty crews are NOT to wear radios around the
stations. Only the officer should
do this.
- Adam
Whyde has been suspended for 30 days, ending February 2. If he has another occurrence before
March he will be released.
- After
discussion, it was agreed that the fire department will pay for fire
prevention/investigations to have three pagers. Right now those are for Chief Brown and Lieutenant Engmark. All others are to be returned or
payroll deducted as the department is no longer paying for everyone to
have a pager and a phone.
- Chief
Young is working on getting the quartermaster system for the volunteer
corporation abolished and giving them clothing allowance checks throughout
the year (possibly June and December).
He is waiting to talk to legal counsel at this time.
- Discussion
on awards banquet.
- Chief
Cassin stated that they are still working on abolishing or restructuring
the volunteer corporation so that all employees will fall under the
District. In a brief informal
discussion, he stated that Paul seemed receptive to the idea.
- No
further new business. Senior staff
meeting adjourned into strategic planning meeting.
