Senior Staff Meeting | |
November 24, 1999 | |
================================================================================= |
Present: Chief
Dutton, Chief; Mike Tibbetts, Battalion Chief; Scott Cassin, Battalion Chief;
Eric Brown, Battalion Chief; Joel Thacker, Lieutenant; Kim Clawson, Admin. Asst.
1. Awards Banquet:
- If you have anyone that you would like a formal invitation extended to for the awards banquet, please let Kim know before December 10th.
- Chief Dutton directed Chief Tibbetts to obtain station coverage during the banquet so the on duty crews could attend.
-
More discussion about the banquet will be held at the next senior staff
on December 23rd.
2.
Kim reminded everyone that when comp time is accrued, it should be
recorded in the book at time-and-a-half. Chief Dutton emphasized that overtime would only be paid for
a course which was required by the department.
Otherwise, it will be recorded as comp time in the book at
time-and-a-half.
3.
Car numbers (i.e: C1, C2, etc.) will be used on the schedule to indicate
the district personnel. Also, new
mailboxes will be assigned at station 51 with those same car numbers.
4.
Kim has updated the Sam’s Club membership.
Next time you’re there, stop by the service desk for your new card.
5.
Reminder, no one is allowed to commit the Department to a house burn
without prior approval from Chief Dutton.
6.
When the on duty Battalion is called out of district, the next fill in
Battalion will be Chief Dutton.
7.
Chief Dutton reminded Chief Tibbetts and Lt. Thacker to expedite the
training process which would allow Lt. Alexander the ability to fill in as
Battalion.
8.
Chief Tibbetts and Lt. Thacker will be going back to KME for a final
inspection on December 15, 16 & 17. (tentative)
9. Open hours procedure revisited. Whenever the Battalion is forced to send a page to fill the hours, it counts as an excused absence against the person. However, if they take the initiative to cover their own shift and complete the appropriate paperwork, it will not count against them. Any schedule change, no matter how small, must have the appropriate paper work and must be changed on the master schedule.
