- Pre-plan update: (Chief Slauter)
- Pre-plan is complete, Crystal is inputting the drawings into
computerized format.
- Within a month should be able to pull up all
pre-plan information in Firehouse.
- Mobile computer project update: (Chief Cassin)
- Final touches are being completed on the mounts
today.
- Couple of small problems: Verizon is a couple of weeks away from
being up and running and Firehouse is re-writing some code to get rid of
some bugs.
- When it is complete Chief Cassin will set up
some training time with Chief Thacker in accessing pre-plan
information. Run information
capture is still some time off, the department needs to get hold of the
Firehouse EMS module and do some testing before implementing.
- As long as the laptop is in mount, access to
Firehouse should not be a problem anywhere in the district.
- Station 52 update: (Chief Cassin)
- Most of the external work is done, caulking and
finishing work left. The window
still needs to be replaced.
- Internally the drywall is up and ready for
sanding. New interior door has
been replaced and most of the inner wiring and systems are half
completed.
- The latest issue is with the anchoring the new
section to the old building. Code
states that there must be three anchors but there are only two and they
do not completely go through the concrete. If this is a problem it should be
caught during inspection.
- Station 51 update: (Chief Cassin)
- Today they will be digging and pouring footers
for the bay.
- The floor of the bay is a long process where
the floor is layered in six inch increments so settling is done
slowly. Each layer is tested and
watched carefully.
- It is going to be another three weeks before
the floor for the basement is poured, pluming, wiring and the sump pit
needs to be complete before the floor can be poured.
- The next construction meeting and tour will be
two weeks from yesterday, July 19, 2006.
- Paycheck FYI: (Chief Cassin)
- There were no deductions for several things on
the last paycheck because they are calculated at 2 checks per month or 24
checks per year. There are
actually 26 pay periods per year so the two months where there are three
pays the last one will not have those deductions.
- Physicals have been scheduled. (Chief Thacker)
- If you are scheduled for a physical, show
up. Four out of four did not show
up for their physical in one day.
- Chief Thacker will be contacting you 24 hours
in advance to remind you.
Physicals will be completed by the end of October.
- IAFF HazMat Class
Grant: (Chief Thacker)
- The class will be at this station free of
charge sometime in January or February.
- NIMS training: (Chief Thacker)
- If you have completed training and you are
still on the list let Chief Thacker know so that can be taken care of.
- If you are not done with the training by August
1st you will not work after August 1st.
- Elevator access keys are now on the Rescue,
Ladder and Engine 52.
- Everyone needs to check your reports – Street names
are being filled out incorrectly, etc.
- Trench training for next week is cancelled; there
will be a CPR update.
- Captain Hart – The new protocols are out and the
software upgrade on the monitors should be completed by the end of July.
