- Strawberry Festival:
- Anyone that can help set up please be at
headquarters at 9:00a.m., if you have a hitch to tow a trailer that would
help.
- Anyone that could work on Saturday please come,
just remember if you sign up you decide – if you show up someone else
does.
- Alarms that are going off at Devonshire
are not a malfunction, someone is pulling them. Please be aware of the resident in apt
1177C, the pull station is outside that apartment.
- Next Thursday is the County fire meeting.
- There will be a Hog Roast for the meeting.
- The county
Firefighters
Association is trying to get a fundraiser together at the Moose Lodge in August;
they may need help with the fundraiser.
There will be a dance and silent auction.
- Laptop project update:
- The staff cars are almost complete; the project
is going a little slower than expected.
- There will soon be four apparatus that will
receive the mounts: E53, L53, E52,
and R51. Lieutenant Hurrle will be
coordinating the project.
- There will soon be broadband access on the
apparatus to access the Firehouse Software live.
- Work is being done on the Firehouse Software, we are the 10th department
nationwide to be receiving the update but the first to actually attempt
to put into service. There have
been some bugs but Firehouse is working diligently to get the software up
and running.
- Station 52 update - Work is continuing. Drywall has been delivered and work will
be progressing.
- Station 51 update:
- There will be a ground breaking today, just leveling
ground.
- The mass dig for the basement will be on
Monday.
- NO
ONE is to stop by the
site. This creates problems for
the contractors and for the department.
Every two weeks their will be a tour of the building along with an
update meeting. Reps will be there
to answer any questions during the tours of the building.
- It is a
hard hat project.
- The estimated completion date is April 30,
2007.
- There will be an official ground breaking. The department wants this to be a
community and media event so everyone will be notified of the schedule
when it becomes available.
- Budget for 2007 – 2007 budget
is almost identical to the 2006 budget with the exception of the regular increases.
