- Kim gave a discussion on the time sheets.
- Chief Tibbetts commended everyone on their
efforts on the recent fire.
- All reports are confidential and must be treated
as such. There is to be no
discussion regarding incidents outside of the department. Anyone requesting a copy of a run report
must go through Chief Brown (for fire reports) and Captain Hart (for EMS reports).
If they are unavailable, Chiefs Tibbetts or Cassin will authorize
any release of information. These
rules are effective, regardless of the person or agency requesting the information. Chief Tibbetts will be issuing a memo
and a policy regarding this later today.
- Personnel Updates:
-
Dale Saucier is
completing PERF.
-
Chad Witham made
a lateral move to A Shift Float
-
Vacancy is now
the B Shift Float
- Senior staff has decided to write a fire grant
to purchase a training trailer.
- Captain Hart stated that the new protocols are
available for review on our server.
Please do so and notify him of your comments.
- Chief Slauter discussed dispatch protocol change
to show Greenwood Engines 92 or 93 as the primary RIT
responses.
- Be advised that Washington Township
recently responded to a field fire where they found an explosives device
with fire trailers. The device had
not yet detonated. Police arrived
to detonate the device, which they believe was set up to destroy a bridge
as well as cause injury to first responders. Fishers recently had an incident with a
pipe bomb. BE AWARE OF WHAT IS
GOING ON AND USE CAUTION ON ALL INCIDENTS.
- Chief Brown and Captain Hart gave an update on
the requirements for run completion in FireHouse
®. Disciplinary action will begin occurring
for those individuals who repeatedly fail to complete, or incorrectly
complete, the run reports.
- Chief Cassin stated that the laptops would be in
the first or second week of April.
- Construction updates.
-
Station 51: Construction begins on or around May 1.
-
Station 52: Construction begins on or around March 27.

it immediately. Work is underway,

weeks notice and her last day will be Friday, March 24.
