- Kim
explained to everyone how to update their Outlook email folders.
- Chief
Slauter stated that he would allow companies to organize their hose beds
as they like with two exceptions:
#1
– Existing lengths must remain the same.
#2 – Everyone must be trained correctly.
If there
are problems, Chief Slauter further stated that all hose beds would be
re-racked to a uniform manner.
- Chief
Tibbetts stated that William Stout has returned his equipment.
- Chief
Tibbetts asked that everyone be friendly and welcome the nine part-time
new hires.
- Chief
Tibbetts stated that he will be posting a memo stating that there is to be
no smoking in the bays.
- Chief
Brown stated that our personnel will be distributing smoke detectors to
mobile home communities this Saturday.
- Chief
Tibbetts cautioned everyone about the Dairy Queen remodel that is
currently taking place. The old
roof was left on and the façade was built over it. Please be careful and watch for roof
collapse.
- Chief
Slauter gave some operations updates:
-
New saws have been placed on Ladder 53 and Rescue 51.
-
Ladder 53 lights are going to the TSU
and the Ladder will get a generator with lights.
-
Thermal imaging cameras were ordered yesterday.
-
Any leftover money will be spent on hose.
-
Engine 52 has more oxidation than originally thought so
they are repainting the entire cab. It
should be complete in approximately three weeks, then
it will be striped.
-
New speakers have been installed in station 51.
-
Pump tests are coming up.
- Gear washer
has been finished at station 53.
Please leave the setting at ‘01’ and do not change any of the
settings on the top box. Liners and
outer shell must be washed separately.
Liners must be turned inside out and the shells must have all
fasteners fastened.
- Chief Slauter
stated that Chief Cassin has submitted the last invitation to quote for
the laptops. The quotes are due in
seven days. The manufacture time is
approximately 45 days. Six will be
purchased this year and six next year.
- No
update available for the outbuilding at station 53 that will house our
pool cars and trailers.
- Chief
Slauter stated that several people have wanted to change the color of our
trucks to red. He stated that this
is not feasible financially and reminded everyone that we are not defined
by our truck color but by who we are.
- No
further new business and meeting adjourned at 10:40 a.m.
