  1. Chief Tibbetts addressed time sheet problems:
    1. If you claim overtime hours, explain what you were doing to accrue overtime.
    2. If you take time off, list where to deduct it from.
    3. Be sure to sign time sheet and date it.
    4. If you have 120 hours or more of comp time on the books, and you accrue more, that additional amount will be paid out as overtime on your check.  This was the direction that Chief Tibbetts said he received at the last District Board meeting.
    5. Chief Tibbetts stated that on this payroll, there were ten people over 120 hours and of those, five were over 400 hours.  Chief Brown asked if most of these were original hires and Chief Tibbetts stated yes.
    6. Chief Tibbetts stated that the comp liability was down to just under $89,000 when before it was over $130,000.
    7. Chief Tibbetts stated that there was a lot of overtime on this last pay period but most of it was due to call back for runs.

  1. Chief Tibbetts asked who had pagers and who didn’t, and if they didn’t have a pager, the reason for it.

  1. Chief Tibbetts stated that the list for Overtime would begin being used again.

  1. Chief Slauter reminded everyone of the SOG regarding responses to working fires in trailer parks that states not to use in-park hydrants.  They are private hydrants and are not maintained.

  1. Chiefs Tibbetts & Thacker gave a brief overview of the drafted drug testing policy.  Chief Tibbetts was adamant in stating that this would NOT be used for punishment.  This is for protection of our personnel.  There will be  drug program manager appointed.

  1. Captain Skipper stated that we will not be doing the Fill the Boot Drive for MDA this year.  Instead we will do another type of fundraiser.

  1. Lt. Cox reminded everyone to make sure their gear is clean when the return to the station.  Gear inspections will be starting soon.  Also, do not leave gear sit on apron during the day.  This is extremely hard on the gear and can begin breaking it down.

  1. Chief Tibbetts stated that he would be in Colorado 8/7 – 8/14 for the International Association of Fire Chiefs conference.
