- Lt.
Funkhouser is now handling all issues dealing with Ladder 53, Grass 53,
Tanker 53 and Trench Rescue Trailer.
Captain Arkins is handling all other station 53 equipment/appartus.
- Chief
Slauter will be working out who goes to get the Ladder when it gets closer
to time. Chief Thacker suggested
someone who we feel comfortable driving that truck through the mountains
coming home.
- Chief
Cassin stated that there is now a 2 hour minimum call back for full time
personnel when they are called back in for working incidents. Be sure to notify the fill in battalion
that you are here.
- Perry
station 664 is now open and that is where they are keeping their
ladder. Their TSU is out of service
and ours is running in it’s place.
- Bargersville
Fire Department does not want our ladder responding with them as automatic
aid. They will call us if they need
us.
- Funeral
leave has been expanded from one day to two days, pending approval at the
next district board meeting.
- Chief
Thacker announced live fire training schedule for Demaree Road house.

Burning structure completely on May 6.

Chief Slauter stated that we will have demo air packs
here at that time.
- Chief
Thacker announced that every person on the department will begin receiving
physicals each year.

All career personnel + 15-18 part-time pesonnel.

PSA for personnel over 40 or with a history.

Hepatitis titers.

Flue shots are available at $21 per person.

Physicals will occur June, July, August and September.

This does not affect the budget.
- Chief
Thacker stated that there is an online EAP available through Public Safety
Medical for smoking cessation, nutrition and weight loss. You will receive info on this when you
have your physical.
- Chief
Thacker stated that the FDIC passes are in. He is working on obtaining additional
passes for those who still need them.
- The
mini marathon is May 7th.
Please contact Captain Arkins if you can assist with the bike team.
- Station
52 is getting ready to go out to bid.
We are still working on the station 51 project.
- No
bids were received for the Tahoes.
The minimum bid prices have been reduced to $8,000 and $7,000. Chief Cassin will re-advertise. He also suggested selling them on Ebay.
- No
further new business and meeting adjourned.
