- Clothing is to be WRTFD
uniforms only. No
sports/manufacturer logos and no specific trucks (engine 51, aerial 52,
etc.).
- $100 petty cash was
recently stolen from Kim’s office.
Fingerprints from the envelope belonged to the Chief, Kim and
Eric. There were also some smudged
prints that couldn’t be identified.
Chief Tibbetts stated that anyone who is caught stealing ANYTHING,
will be prosecuted.
- Chief Tibbetts stated
that from now on, anyone who calls in sick must have a doctors
excuse. This results from those
personnel who have recently abused the sick leave.
- Chief Tibbetts reported
that we are still trying to increase our maximum tax levy, but the state
tax commissioner is on vacation for two weeks.
- With inclement weather
approaching, all dirty apparatus are to be washed and dried after
returning from a detail or run if it is before 9pm. Otherwise, they are to be rinsed off
only.
- New engine 52 arrived
lastnight. We are anticipating
approximately two weeks until it is in service.
- Station 52 repair work
should hopefully begin soon. The
bids will go out for seven days then once they are opened they can be
awarded and work can start immediately thereafter.
- Chief Tibbetts
requested that all officers use common sense when using the sirens. Do not jeopardize anyone’s lives by not
using them. However, if it is 3am
and there are few people on the road, use sparingly. We have had a recent complaint on sirens
leaving station 53.
- Chief Tibbetts mentioned
the dates of the Christmas toy drive.
- Please begin cleaning
the breakroom at station 53. This
is part of the crew duties. If you
use it, don’t leave a mess for someone else to clean up.
- Radio tower lease has
been signed and the parts ordered. Should
be in service 10-12 weeks.
- Community Hospitals,
Salvation Army, WRTFD and local churches are sponsoring a Thanksgiving
dinner to feed the needy. November
26, 4p – 8p, at Community Church of Greenwood. Volunteers are needed. Contact Chief Thacker for more info or
to sign up.
