Dutton, Dave Sherfick, Kevin Skipper, Scott Cassin, Eric Brown, and Kim Clawson.
IF YOU WERE UNABLE TO ATTEND, REMEMBER TO CONTACT YOUR LIEUTENANT
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS REGARDING ANYTHING THAT WAS DISCUSSED.

  - Eric
gave an update on station 53.  The
drives are in, the soil compacting has been completed, and the steel has
been ordered.  If you want to go
out there and look around, you must check in at the construction trailer
first!  Also, if you know anyone
who is in the insulating business, have them bid on the new station.
  - Joel
gave an update on engine 53.  The
committee has eliminated all bids except KME and Central States.
They still have more to review and will hopefully be able to make a
formal proposal to the District Board soon.
  - Scott
will be making a proposal for upgrading the computer systems at that same
    District meeting.
  - Joe
gave an update on the Special Operations Trailer.
The rails are in, the wood is on board, and it is basically finished.
They will be installing shelves in the front section of the trailer
and the chain link fence will be reinforced.
Training in specialized rescues will begin in earnest sometime during
    September.
  - Personnel
    updates:

Ken Sickles reserve to compensated
Matt Ladd released due to inactivity
Brian Griffith on leave until October 12, 2000
Jason Bailey on leave
until September 1, 2000
Jeremy McKee resigned
Kirk Schilling resigned
Mike Schilling was on leave through May 31, 2000; not
returning Nicks calls.  Will be
sent letter at end of July warning of inactivity.
Brian Reynolds has given up his 12 hour shift
Brian Skipper Nick & Chief Tibbetts will address his
inactivity with him
Brad Kiefer on leave until 9/30/00
  - Chief
Dutton reminded everyone that major purchases still need to get a PO first!
  - The
City of Greenwood has finally approved the sewer connection for station 51.
Now we are waiting for the paperwork to go through the proper
channels and hopefully we will be able to begin the work.
  - Thanks
to everyone who helped at the Johnson County Fair.
Several fair board members have mentioned that they thought White
River Township FD had the best representation there all week.
After discussion on the Firefighter Olympics, it was decided that the
best course of action to take at this time would be to submit a letter to
the committee requesting that White River have a representative on the rules
    committee next year.
  - On
June 27th, Eric Reedy met with Mark Hart, Jeremy Pell, and Chief
Dutton to discuss 2001 budget issues.  It
will be extremely tight and it is still unknown at this time whether we will
have enough in the budget to hire the third Lieutenant.
  -  Training
    issues:
 a)  Effective August 1, trainings will be Mondays, Tuesdays
    and Wednesdays.
b)  Building
Construction Class will begin August 26.  This
is an excellent class
and everyone should try to attend.  For
more information, see the sign up sheet posted at either station, or contact
Joel.  (If you are on duty during
one of these classes, you will be expected to attend and participate.)
c)  White
River personnel traveled to Pike Twp. FD last Saturday to use their training
tower.  All went well.
  - Eric
distributed copies of current projects occurring (or about to occur) within
    our district.  This list was
broken down into station districts, with station 53 showing a huge growth
    potential.
  - Chief
Tibbetts urged everyone that if you are on duty or in uniform, not to eat at
    Arbys.  This stems from a
recent food incident involving Tony Slusher which has not yet been resolved.
  - Nick
mentioned that there will be a Reserve division meeting on Tuesday August 8th.
If you would like anything passed onto them, let Nick know as soon as
    possible.
  - Joel
would like to review the current uniform policy.
It seems whenever the dress uniform is worn, different people place
badges, name tags, etc. in different places.
  - Joel
will be updating engine company and aerial company SOGs.
