Staff Meeting * February 25 & 26, 1998
Wednesday (25th) meeting called to order at 1300 hours. Present: Mike Dutton, Dave Sherfick, Travis Sichting, Scott Cassin, Troy Wymer, Chad Abel, Joel Thacker, Eric Brown, Steve Coover, and Kim Clawson.

1. Training files are now at
station 51 in the personnel files.
2. Daily attendance records
will be tracked in FireHouse, under the member’s “History” tab, instead of
attendance cards in the brown box. Be
sure to put your name on each entry.
3. Technical services division
now has solutions and deadlines from the Goal Setting Meeting.

Improve training on SOGs and policies. 3/1/98.

4. Policy manual changes have
been made available and placed in the station book. Contact Scott with any questions.
5. Battalion Aide program will
begin in May for Cadets, Reserves, and Auxiliary. They may also be making progress reports on
F1 for liability coverage.
6. Discussion on Officer
Promotion Process. Perhaps add tabletop
scenario to use as determining factor if two candidates are closely
ranked. “Past Performance” refers to one
year time period. If no objections, this
will become policy.
7. Doing better on this year’s
budget than last year. Chief Dutton
asked all Division Chiefs to be cognizant of their own budget and to stay
within their limits. Major purchases will
not be made until the sale of appratus.
8. Personnel updates. Thom Hord,
released; Bob Cesnik hired as reserve; Brian Griffith
hired as reserve.
9. Chief Dutton gave update on
FPDB. District survey will be a joint
venture between this department and the FPDB.
10. Schedule changes for EMAS A
shift will be effective March 1. New
medic and new EMT, although, Beard will still be the medic
