	Board Meeting Minutes
	July 11, 2000  ~  ENGINE 53 BID OPENING MEETING

Meeting called to order at 5:04 p.m. at White River Fire Headquarters for the purpose of opening bids received for new fire engine (Engine 53). 

Present from the District:  Battalion Chief Mike Tibbetts; Fire Marshal Eric Brown; Kim Clawson, Administrative Assistant.

Others present:         Dave Roberson and Jerry Ammerman, Roberson Fire & Safety;

                                Garry Hickman, Stoops Freightliner;

                                Scott Garrett, Hoosier Fire – KME;

                                Richard Keebler, Vogelpohl Fire Equipment – Ferrara.

 Battalion Chief Mike Tibbetts welcomed everyone and began opening bids.

Chief Tibbetts stated that the apparatus committee will be convening soon to review the bids received today.  We anticipate having a decision ready to present to the White River Township Fire Protection District Board at their meeting on July 26, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at White River Fire Headquarters.

Chief Tibbetts also stated that the committee will be carefully reviewing each bidders maintenance provisions (i.e.:  location, who performs work, turnaround time, etc.).
