October 30, 2010
Highland Park Homeowner's Association
Minutes of October 21, 2010 Meeting (2010-4)
Meeting Attendees
Jerry Day
Maggie Plummer
Fritz Wurster
The meeting was held at Fritz Wurster's home. The meeting started at 5:00 p.m. and adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
Picnic
We had good feedback on the picnic held on October 9th and agreed that we should have the picnic next year. We will plan on about 75 people attending. The attendance at this year’s picnic was about 55 people; we had planned on 100 so we donated the extra food to a local shelter.
Budget 2011
The board received the landscaping quote from Brickman. It is a two year contract so we can take advantage of the same pricing over the period. Fritz does want to put in black (dyed) mulch in the spring which is slightly more money. We are also requesting a quote from Brickman for spot snow removal/treatment at the front entrance and on the hill on Eagle Trace. These two locations become very slick even with the County's plowing.
Leistner's Aquatic will be contacted for their bid for maintenance on the lower pond so that accurate figures can be put into the budget.
The rest of the budget was reviewed. Some questions for Dennis O'Toole arose that will be addressed via email with any changes necessary being made before the budget is distributed.
Vandalism
Maggie Plummer reported that someone attempted to push two capstones off the brick planter on the west side of the entrance. One landed on the ground and the other is 12" off the planter top. She will contact Shackelford Masonry to do the repair.
The meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
The Annual Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the White River branch of the Johnson County Library starting at 7:00 p.m.
