Highland Park Homeowner’s Association

Minutes of September 8, 2009 Board Meeting (2009-3)

Meeting Attendees

Jerry Day

Maggie Plummer

Fritz Wurster

The Meeting held at Fritz Wurster’s home started at 5:00 pm and adjourned at 6;00 pm.

 Landscaping

There are very few street trees (trees in the medians) that need to be replaced this year.  Due to the emerald ash borer, any ash tree that dies will be replaced by an elm tree. Again, tree replacement can always be done by the homeowner; however, as a service to the residents, tree replacement is arranged by the Grounds Committee on a low bid basis.

There are some bushes at the Willow Lakes entrance that have died and will be replaced this fall also.

The Fall Display will go up again this year as well as Christmas lights on the guard tower, surrounding trees and greenery on the lampposts.

Guard House Weather Vane

The weather vane on top of the guard house at the front has disappeared.  The Board will look into replacing it.

Our Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the White River Branch of the Johnson County Library.  The Meeting will begin at 7:00 pm and end at 9:00 pm.  All residents are invited to attend. Everyone will receive more information about this meeting at a later date.
