The majority of the meeting
was spent with each 2004 board member presenting a brief overview of the year,
including summaries of respective projects undertaken during the year, new
projects underway and future project ideas.
Dennis presented the annual
budge (actual –vs- budget). Scott presented an overview and a live demo
of the subdivision website that he created.
Coleen provided an update on
social events and welcoming committee.
Lisa presented a summary of
changes that occurred to bylaws, a discussion about newsletters and a brief
overview of the grounds committee.
One of the homeowners wanted
to be sure that the board was obtaining verification of insurance and proper licenses
for vendors that provide services for the subdivision. Dennis indicated that he would take
responsibility for ensuring that the board has proof.
Another homeowner mentioned
that there still seems to be some confusion about who pays for the lake
maintenance. We clarified that the 12
lake members are responsible for the aesthetic costs of the lake. The pump is out again and is expected to cost
between $2000-$5000 to repair.
One homeowner suggested that
we check into a sweep account for the homeowner’s account. It is currently not in an interest-bearing
account.
