Greenwood Freedom Festival
It
was another perfect day for this year's Freedom Festival in downtown Greenwood.
The skies were clear and the air was warm and humid as the day began (the
temperature would eventually hit 92, the year's warmest so far) with the parade
down Meridian Street. As usual, the crowds gathered all along the parade
route to watch the forty-five minute parade draw by. The parade was
followed by the street fair and then later by the festival in Craig Park.
The day concluded with the traditional fireworks show high over Greenwood.
