Cruise to the Bahamas
So,
what does the Space Shuttle, a cruise ship, and a moving van all have in common?
A week-long trip to Florida! Well, sort of anyway. This odyssey
encompassed several itineraries that included a trip to Titusville, Florida to
see the Space Shuttle land, a four-night cruise to the Bahamas, and the
close-out of the condo in Florida and moving everything back to Indianapolis.
The trip began with just Dad and I to pack up the condo. While we were
there, we headed over to Titusville to watch the Space Shuttle Discovery land.
We had an awesome spot just Northeast of the landing strip and the weather was
nearly perfect. The twin sonic booms were impressive as well. After
the trip back to Orlando and packing everything up in the box truck, we met up
with Mandy, Stacy, Dick, Hope, Jessica, and Denny and headed out to Port
Canaveral for a four-night cruise to the Bahamas on the Royal Caribbean Monarch
of the Seas. We visited Coco Cay (Royal Caribbean's private island) and
Nassau. Once back in Florida, Mandy and I drove the truck back to
Indianapolis over a two-day period. We were planning on driving straight
through, but traffic was horrendous, so we stopped for the night in Nashville,
Tennessee.
