A trip to Las Vegas
Mandy
and I decided to make a trek to Las Vegas to catch the America's Got Talent
winner's show at the MGM Grand. The show was the capstone to the year-long
event culminating with the live performance in Las Vegas. The show that
was emceed by Jerry Springer hosted ten of the top acts that included everything
from violins, batons, opera singing, and of course, Elvis. The show was
nearly three hours long and was a great time. We had fantastic seats right
near the stage and could see everyone perform fairly close. The trip also
included a lot of sightseeing and an excursion to the salon for Mandy for a
complete hair makeover. Photos from the entire trip are shown below.
Note: The buildings under construction are of City Center, a huge,
expensive (most expensive in Las Vegas history), project on the strip (on the
former site of the Holiday Inn Boardwalk). I counted at least eight
high-rise buildings that are all being built at the same time!
