Shuttle a no-go
Dad
and I traveled the 961 miles (driving distance, or 823 by the way the crow
flies) to Orlando to see the space shuttle launch on December 6th. Well,
after three subsequent delays and one launch re-attempt, it didn't go.
Fuel sensor problems grounded the flight until probably sometime in early
January. However, we still made good use of the time in the 80 degree and
sunny weather by going to Disney World for two straight days. On one of
the days we spent time in all four major parks - something I've never done
before. We also got to see the Osborne lights at MGM, which was pretty
impressive. All-in-all, it was a fun trip and one where we got to miss out
on some snow back home!
