Cruise 2007
This year's cruise was a two week adventure (at least for me). The first week was with some friends from work and the second week was with the family. The first week included stops at Nassau, San Juan, Charlotte Amalie, and Labadee. Everyone had a great time on the Voyager of the Seas as we sailed out of Miami. The week's favorite was Labadee where it was sunny and in the low 90's. Although it was Eric, Amy, and Josh's first cruise, it was my first time to visit the Atlantis resort in Nassau - a truly remarkable complex. The week was great and everyone can't wait to do it again.
After doing some laundry in Miami upon our return, I was packed up and ready to
go for another week. The family flew in from different parts of country
and we all met at the Howard Johnson about 15 minutes from the port. This
year included Marcy and Tracy Kowalchuk (childhood friends) which made the trip
even more fun. We stopped at Cozumel, Georgetown, Ocho Rios, and Labadee.
This was aboard the Freedom of the Seas, currently the largest cruise ship in
the world! The weather was nearly perfect all week with warm days and
clear skies. Even Dad enjoyed the 90 degree day we had in Labadee!
Before the trip was done we were already talking about next year.....
