Texas, part one

    Having never been to Texas before, I set out to see some of the cities in the southeast portion of the state.  Starting out in Houston, I visited Galveston Island, San Antonio, Austin, and of course, Las Vegas (I know it's not really in Texas, but since I was so close...)  While in Houston I visited the Johnson Space Center and took the Level 9 behind-the-scenes tour.  After a short three hour drive the next day, I visited San Antonio where I spent some time at the Alamo site as well as the famed River Walk area.  On the way back I slipped through Austin to see the State Capital.  After a couple of days in Las Vegas for rest and relaxation, it was time to travel back home.
